Girl Scouts around the world know that there are many rewards for participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program. They get more than life-changing experiences and adventure. Girls also develop essential life skills—goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics—all while soaring in confidence and practicing leadership the Girl Scout way to lift one another up and change the world, together.
An added bonus for Girls in northeastern New York that sell a minimum of 500 boxes of Cookies: Cookie Camp!
This year, approximately 175 Girl Scouts earned a weekend full of activities like swimming, hiking, boating, and archery at one of our two residential, or overnight, camps: Lake Clear Camp or Hidden Lake Camp. Cookie Camp is great opportunity for Girls who might not have had the chance to attend camp otherwise. Girl Scout camp provides girls with an opportunity to try new and exciting experiences, explore the wonders of nature, enjoy traditional camp activities and adventures, and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Girl Scout Gabbi, who has been a top Cookie seller since she was a Daisy, is also an Expert Entrepreneur. By participating in both the Fall Sweets and Treats Program and the Cookie Program and meeting the requirements for both, Gabbi earned an extra $300 in rewards that helped fund her Girl Scout adventures.
