Council Moves: Updates to our Mission Delivery Team
Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York is pleased to announce that Chris Pepe has been selected to serve as Vice President, Mission Delivery. Chris has been the Director of Product and Retail Sales since January 2018. She successfully managed the 2018 and 2019 Cookie Programs, ending both seasons with an increase in sales over the prior year. Chris attributes the increase in sales to her team's efforts in simplifying materials and making the Cookie Program more fun and easier for Girls and volunteers -- and of course to our amazing Girls!
In her new role, Chris will continue to oversee the Cookie Program, along with the Membership, Volunteer, and Girl Experience departments. Chris has an MA in South Asian Studies from Cornell University and her BA in English Language Studies and Religion from Syracuse University. She currently serves on the Hoosic Valley Central School Board as President.
Sharon Hitchcock joins us as the next Director of Product and Retail Sales. Sharon comes to us with many years of experience as a Buyer, Sales Manager and Sales Director for several retail firms, most recently at Uncommon Goods. She has BA in History from the University of Texas at Austin.
Lastly, we share the news that longtime Girl Scouts team member, Susan Conway is moving on from GSNENY. From serving Girl Scouts first as a volunteer and then as an employee for 35 years, to spending countless hours -- both night and day – working to deliver the best experience for our volunteers and Girls, to creating amazing new experiences like Cookie Camp, Susan was reigning "Cookie Queen" during her tenure at Council. We wish her the best!
