Advancing the Girl Scout legacy in the 21st Century

Throughout our history, Girl Scouts has given all girls -- regardless of location, resources, or ability -- the opportunity to explore the outdoors and discover adventures of a lifetime.

Today, we are seizing the moment and launching our Vision 21 Campaign to create and sustain the outdoor experience for the future of our Girls. This campaign builds on our reputation and harnesses our ability to make outdoor adventure accessible to each and every Girl.

Now is the time for Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York to advance the cause of building Girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Vision for our Future: Campaign Priorities

As we look back on our own journey, we are inspired by the Girls and women who have grown up as part of our community. Looking into the future, we are devoted to finding the best ways to support and challenge our Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, and Leaders into our second century and throughout their lives.

We are committed to the following campaign priorities:

  • Creating a Leadership Center for Girls and Women: A key priority of the Vision 21 Campaign is to build a year-round Leadership Center at Camp Is-Sho-Da, where programming dedicated to leadership development will benefit Girls, their families, and the community.
  • Enhancing our Programming: As we advance Girls in the 21st century, we will continue to enhance the rich variety of engaging programs we offer, while also dedicating resources to include STEM programs in an atmosphere that encourages creativity, innovation, and risk-taking.
  • Modernizing and Revitalizing our Camp Facilities: To ensure that future generations of Girls can have the transformative experience of attending camp and enjoying the outdoors, we will renovate and update the facilities at our day and overnight camps with attention to the environmental practices that reflect our commitment to sustainability.
