Go for the Gold Giving Day Challenge

Mark your calendars for May 16—our first-ever online giving challenge to support Girl Scouts!

What is the Go for the Gold Challenge?

The Go for the Gold Challenge is your chance to impact a Girl Scout's life. A gift of any size can make a difference in sending a Girl to camp, on a one-of-a-kind adventure, or simply to try something she wouldn't otherwise have a chance to do. If 159 friends and supporters make a gift of any amount on May 16, Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York receives $5,500 from several challenge donors!
Thank you to our challenge donors: Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management, Jaeger & Flynn Associates, and an anonymous donor.

How Does the Challenge Work?

  • 159 gifts in 24 hours secures $5,500 from several challenge donors for Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York
  • A gift of any amount is welcome!
  • Why 159? Because that's how old our founder, Juliette Gordon Low, will be this year!

Where will the money go?

If 159 friends and supporters make a gift to Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York on May 16, an anonymous donor will give Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York $5,500! Our Girl Scouts will benefit from your generosity. Here's how:

  • Programmatic Innovation: We are continually expanding our programmatic offerings to meet Girl demand and the needs of our members. Your donations play a critical role in supporting the development of programs that make these a reality.
  • Developing Future Leaders: Your donations help ensure that Girl Scouts can reach the highest level of achievement, the Gold Award. Girl Scouts who earn this award through take-action projects (such as National Gold Award Girl Scout Caroline McGraw), help make the world a better place.
