It is with a heavy heart that we share our decision to cancel Summer Camp programming for 2020.

Please know this decision was not made lightly. However, due to the ever-changing landscape of COVID-19, this decision is a reflection of our strong commitment to the health and safety of our campers, staff, and all families involved.

We are truly devastated to not be able to welcome campers this summer, and we mourn the reality that Camp Is-Sho-Da and Hidden Lake Camp will be without songs, s’mores, campfires, and friendships during this trying time. Yet, the safety of our campers and staff has always been and will always be the priority of this council.

At this time, you have options regarding any deposits and fees you have paid for the summer including a FULL REFUND.

1. Consider donating $21 for 2021. We rely heavily on revenues generated by camp programming to sustain our mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place, especially this year. Our annual cookie program was impacted by the pandemic and Girls were unable to sell cookies.  Choose to donate $21 (or any amount you wish) of your refund today to help ensure Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York can continue to serve girls at camp in the summer of 2021.

2. Request a full refund of all monies already paid, including the deposit amount.

We will be processing refunds over the next several weeks. In most cases, your refund will be placed back onto the card you used to pay your camp fees. If this is not possible for any reason, you will receive a check in the mail.

ACTION NEEDED! After considering these options, please click the link below to indicate how we should process your refund.

We know the summer of 2020 will not be the same without Girl Scout camps operating as we intended. However, we are committed to keeping camp traditions alive throughout this time and look forward to sharing remote opportunities with you in the coming weeks. Even more, we look forward to seeing all of you soon; so until then, this is, "so-long for now" but certainly not “goodbye.”
